If you need a job advertised over Christmas, please send it across to HR by Monday 12 December 2022 to make sure it meets the deadlines for posting on external job boards.
Acceptances for payments in the December payroll for SRF’s already approved need to be returned by Friday 2 December.
The HR Office will be closed for the Christmas and New Year period from Friday 23 December and will re-open on Tuesday 3 January.
The Human Resources Function provides a range of services to develop, advise and support University colleagues and managers. We support the delivery of the University’s strategic goals through the recruitment, retention, reward, recognition and development of University staff. We support good people management and leadership practice through the development of employment strategy, policy, procedures and services.
The HR Function is led by Interim HR Director, Claire Rolstone
The Professional and Advisory team provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers and staff including recruitment, performance management, change management and dispute resolution.
HR Operations provide the delivery of effective transactional services to managers, staff and potential new recruits including general enquiries, recruitment and HR administration and payroll functions.
The Pensions team provide an on-site service in respect of the University's pension schemes, USS and UREPF.
The People Development team provides staff learning and development activity, excluding staff development relating to teaching and learning.
Reward and Benefits provides advice to managers and staff in respect of recognition and reward, re-grading, and benefits.
Advice and support on all issues relating to equality and diversity for staff and students.
