COVID-19 update
Find out how we’re adapting during COVID-19.
Get to grips with the latest technology used in the creation of buildings, and gear up for a career in the design, creation and assessment of new structures.
Our courses are industry-relevant and enriched by a vibrant research environment. 100% of our research is of international standing^ and 100% of our research impact has been classed outstanding or very considerable.†
Our courses are structured so that you do not have to make a final decision about which degree to graduate with until towards the end of your second year. This keeps your options open until you know exactly which pathway matches your evolving interests, enabling you to find the course that’s the right fit for you without compromising your studies.
You will also have access to the latest digital technology and software, including the use of building information modelling (BIM). You can also work with a range of cutting-edge technology including Oculus Rift head-mounted displays, immersive virtual reality environments, laser scanners and 3D printers. Improving the sustainability of the built environment is another central theme that runs through all our undergraduate degree programmes.
Benefit from our extensive links with industry and build your own network of contacts through our series of events, collaborations and placement opportunities. Many of our academic staff have direct experience of working in industry, and continue to be active in consultancy, contributing to the policy agendas of the government, industry bodies and professional institutions.
Overall, 98% of graduates from Construction Management and Engineering are in work or further study within 15 months of graduation; of those in full-time employment, 98% are in graduate-level roles.*
