Learning Hub

The Learning Hub houses the Teaching Resource Base (TRB), Reference Library (RL) the National Centre for Language and Literacy (NCLL) and Archive (NCLLA) and the Technical Support Area (TSA).  This amasing resources is not only used by our own BAEd students but also by both primary and secondary teachers.  Please see the links below for further information.

Annual Conference for the Association of Science Educators

In early January we were delighted to once again welcome the Annual Conference for the Association of Science Educators to our campus. As part of the event University staff delivered lectures reflecting the cutting-edge research carried out here in the Frontier Science Lecture Series, and delegates were also invited to attend tours of some of our state-of-the art facilities. To complement these sessions we have a produced a number of resources which are free for you to download and use to enhance your teaching where relevant. You may also be interested in our Research Showcase videos, the subjects of which were reflected in the topics presented at the conference.

University Tour supporting materials

Delegates were invited to attend a number of bespoke tours of some of the University's state-of-the-art facilities including our Centre for Advanced Microscopy (CfAM), the Chemical Analysis Facility, our pilot plant in the Food and Nutritional Sciences Department and see our MRI scanners along with other instruments in our psychology research laboratories. Posters and reference cards containing revision and curriculum-relevant material for Year 12 students related to these tours for psychology, biology, chemistry and food sciences are available for you to download below (please note the food poster is of relevance to chemistry students).

Climate change resources - Walker Institute factsheets

The Walker Institute for Climate Change delivered a Frontier Science Lecture and had a stand at the conference with various useful factsheets and resources for delegates.
