Two students wearing purple RUSU hoodies stand behind a table talking to another student. Inside the 3Sixty nightclub in the RUSU building on Whiteknights campus Three students stand in front of a multi-coloured background, holding two pieces of cardboard to promote RUSU social media. One says "@rususnaps15", and the other "@RUSU tweets".

Reading Students' Union

Reading Students' Union is an independent organisation, based on Whiteknights campus, that exists to represent, support and provide opportunities for all students studying at the University of Reading.

The union building provides places to socialise, eat, drink, and study, and is also home to the largest nightclub in Reading. As a registered charity, all the revenue from Reading Students' Union’s bars, cafe and retail outlets goes directly to fund student activities such as representation, campaigns, the Reading Students' Union Advice Service, sports clubs, societies and volunteer groups.

As a student, you are automatically a member of the union, and entitled to have a say in directing the organisation. Reading Students' Union runs annual elections for more than 1,500 student representative roles and a termly Student Voice forum, to ensure that students’ views are shared with both the University and local community.

Reading Students' Union is led by student-elected officers whose roles are to create positive change for students and decide on the direction and priorities of your students’ union. As members of the University’s decision-making committees, they campaign on behalf of students.
