Events and activities

Reading outreach activities include information, advice and guidance sessions; campus visits; summer schools; subject-specific events including workshops, theme days, debates and conferences; and staff/practitioner development events. We also run longer-term transition schemes specifically targeted at widening participation students wishing to gain access to UKHE, supported by a student mentoring programme. As demand for our outreach activities is always extremely high, we are developing virtual admissions sessions as well as resource pages for teachers and advisors to facilitate access for as many participants as possible. Join our teachers and advisors community to find out more.

*Please note: We try to accommodate as wide a range of schools and colleges as possible in our outreach provision. However, in some cases, priority will be given to widening participation target schools and young people with little or no experience of Higher Education in their family. Activities will be flagged accordingly.
