University of Reading appearing in news media including TV and radio

#UniForReading: our role as a civic university  

  • A column in Wokingham Today mentions the University’s involvement in bringing the award-winning Forest of Imagination arts and culture event to Dinton Pastures Country Park.
  • Screen Global Production reports on how Shinfield Studios is involved in local community engagement, as a founding member of Screen Berkshire, which aims to train people through practical industry pathways. The article mentions the University is also a founding partner of Screen Berkshire.
  • RDG.Today reports that Sanctuary Strikers FC, in collaboration with Berks & Bucks FA and the University, has announced the return of the Reading Community Cup. From our story: Refugee Week 2025: all welcome to University events.

  • Professor Carmel Houston-Price (Psychology) is quoted by Newsweek, highlighting how 'book-sharing' supports young children's development.

  • Professor Andrew and Nada Kakabadse (both Henley Business School) have co-written an article for Board Agenda on how organisations can cope with global geopolitical tensions.
  • The Telegraph profiles Bella Kagoma, who has launched a haircare business. She explains how a meeting with University Chancellor Paul Lindley helped her and included an introduction to experts at thew University. Paul Lindley is also quoted throughout the article about his advice to an owner-entrepreneur.
  • INREV News highlights the partnership with Henley Business School to offer the INREV Academy Certificate, providing professional training in European non-listed real estate investment.

  • Dr Akshay Deoras (Meteorology) is quoted by DW on the latest CSE report about the growing risks of climate change and extreme weather in India. Republished by DNYUZ. Dr Deoras is also quoted in Financial Express for an article on monsoon season.
  • Dr Jess Neumann (Meteorology) is quoted by Crewe Chronicle (in print), explaining that the north-west of England has experienced its driest spring in nearly 100 years.
