Event Information

We are delighted to invite our alumni, valued friends and contacts in the region to join us for a centenary dinner celebration on Saturday 1 August 2026.

Celebrating two major milestones in our history, the centenary dinner will mark 100 years of the University of Reading and 10 years of the University of Reading Malaysia campus. This special occasion will also see the official launch of our new South East Asia Hub. An exciting time to reflect on our achievements together and look to the future.

Date: Saturday 1 August
Time: 18:30-21:30 (SST)
Location: Four Points by Sheraton, Johor Bahru, Jalan Persianran, Seri Alam, Bandar Baru Seri Alam, Masai Johor Bahru, Malaysia, 81750

The evening will be the perfect opportunity for alumni to reconnect and meet with fellow University of Reading partners. Alumni are also welcome to bring a plus one to the event. Please add your guests details to the booking form.

What to expect

The evening will include a celebratory exhibition and drinks reception, a three-course meal and the opportunity to hear from our Senior colleagues, as well as some of our inspiring alumni. The event will be attended by senior figures from the University: the Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, Provost and CEO of UoR Malaysia, and the Dean of Henley Business School.

The future

As the University celebrates its centenary, we are excited to be building on our work in the region with the launch of a University of Reading South East Asia Hub. This will mean increasing activity and opportunities for our alumni and in SE Asia in the future, and a strengthened alumni network to benefit you.

Educational partners, employers, university colleagues and stakeholders – we look forward to you joining us as we continue to build relationships that are visible, practical and mutually beneficial.

We would be honoured to have you join us for this special occasion. Please confirm your attendance by completing the booking form.
