This free-of-charge event provides a perfect opportunity to learn about the course curriculum and discover what it would be like to study graphic communication at an undergraduate degree level. Consistently ranked as one of the top design courses in the UK, Reading offers a unique approach to the study of graphic communication. You will have the opportunity to meet current staff and students, as well as explore campus and the benefits of studying at Reading.
The sessions will be run by our academics and will give you a chance to learn about the course, ask portfolio questions and take part in two hands-on workshops. Join us to explore evolving creativity, technology and typography in an immersive workshop. There will also be time to meet current students, hear about our course in detail, and ask our tutors questions. Let us help you build a successful application to whichever university you have your heart set on, and discover more about your own future in design.
This taster day will be held at our Whiteknights campus and will run from approximately from 10:00 to 15:00, allowing you time to really immerse yourself in the subject and relevant department. An optional campus tour will follow, from 15:30 to 16:15.

- Make sure to arrive with plenty of time! You will be sent a schedule for the day about a week before the event
- Think about what you want to get out of the day, prepare any questions for staff and students.
FAQs
Can I park on site?
You can park on site for the taster day, but you will need to collect a parking permit and have this displayed in your vehicle for the duration of the event. Parking permits can be collected at the registration point, for more information please email outreach@reading.ac.uk.
Is lunch available for purchase?
We will be providing a free lunch, please make sure you communicate any dietary requirements when you register for the event.
