Apply for a PhD

International Foundation Pathways
You can apply for our International Foundation Programme or a four-year degree with an integrated International Foundation Year through our online application service.

These programmes support international students in meeting academic, subject-specific and English language requirements for progression to undergraduate study at the University of Reading.
Apply for a teacher training programme
For our PGCE and teacher training routes, you must apply through the Department for Education’s Postgraduate Teacher Training portal.
For the PGCert Early Years Practice (EYTS) programme, apply via our online application system.
Deferring or changing your offer
If you’ve accepted an offer from the University of Reading but want to delay your entry (defer) or change your course, you can do so by submitting the Change My Offer form.
The University will review deferral requests based on course viability for the following year, and course change requests depending on availability and your eligibility.
