Foundation programmes at Reading
We offer a range of foundation programmes for students who are not eligible for direct entry onto an undergraduate degree course.
Students with English as a second language, or those without the traditional entry requirements to study on a UK undergraduate degree, can enrol on one of our foundation programmes and gain the academic training and/or the language skills needed for undergraduate study.
Foundation programme for international students
If English is not your first language and you don't have British A levels or the equivalent qualifications, the International Foundation Programme (IFP) at Reading provides you with a pathway to study an undergraduate degree course in the UK.
Once you have successfully completed the IFP, and if you meet the additional entry requirements, you are guaranteed a place on your chosen degree course. (Please check the admissions requirements of your undergraduate progression degree.)
Popular subjects include business, law, science, social science, construction, and humanities.
