What we charge
Central maintenance budgets support all routine maintenance work on academic and support buildings. This funding stream covers the cost of reactive repairs and breakdowns, routine plant servicing and all statutory testing/inspection. In addition we also have a central budget for major planned maintenance work, which covers replacement of life-expired roofs, windows, boilers etc. and compliance with new legislation and regulation.
Where customers require 'improvements', which are not covered by central budgets, it is necessary to recharge the costs incurred. To help with project planning Maintenance Services are able to provide free estimates for proposed improvements works. As further assurance customers are able to set a budget for each project, which will limit the extent of spend.
