DAVID WALLACE
Director of Campus Planning
Campus Planning empowers the Estate directorate to deliver the Estate Strategy and support University growth through smarter processes and strategic space management. We drive delivery through our two specialist teams: Engagement, Processes & Systems (EPS) and Space & Asset Management (SAM).
ELIZABETH EVANS
Head of Engagement Process & Systems
The Engagement, Process, and Systems (EPS) team drives Customer Engagement, manages Business Processes, and oversees Systems to ensure consistent stakeholder engagement and operational excellence across the Estates Directorate. Our responsibilities include supporting the Concerto CAFM system, helpdesk services, financial control, procure-to-pay (P2P) processes, reporting, and campus services such as parking, lost property, and visitor management.
MICHELE FACER
Head of Space & Asset Management
The Space & Asset Management team manages property data essential for proactive estate management—what assets we have, how they’re used, and future planning. Our focus is on buildings and internal spaces, particularly student-facing areas and their impact on student experience. The team provides specialist advice and oversees policies and standards for space allocation, use, and design. We lead the Space Action Plan, a strategic approach to managing space aligned with the Estate Strategy and the University’s growth forecasts. This includes the management and delivery of internal and external wayfinding and signage.
HIGHLIGHTS
- This summer marked an exciting milestone as we launched Concerto—our brand-new Estates CAFM system. Designed to streamline processes and boost efficiency across the University, Concerto is transforming the way we work.
- To unlock Concerto’s full potential, we’ve introduced a dynamic Super User Forum bringing together key departmental representatives. This collaborative space helps us share insights, optimise each module, and ensure the system delivers maximum value.
- The Space & Asset Management Team are working on key deliverables across the estate. These include:
⚬ Utilisation monitoring to optimise occupancy and use of space.
⚬ Developing new ways to visualise and manage Estate related data via the use of geospatial software (ArcGIS).
⚬ Managing a rolling programme of refurbishment for teaching and study spaces.
⚬ Renewing our Wayfinding & Signage standards and piloting the use of digital signage.
⚬ Updating policies and procedures to reflect new ways of working and to increase process efficiency.
