Main Tasks

  • Gather information on Digital Capabilities requirements for staff and students at the University of Reading (Feb – Apr 2024)
  • Benchmark Digital Capabilities support against other HEIs (Mar – Jun 2024)
  • Measure ‘digital maturity’ at the University of Reading (Jul – Sept 2024)
  • Identify areas where Digital Capabilities support for staff and students already exists at the University (Jul – Oct 2024)
  • Identify gaps in Digital Capabilities provision (Jul – Oct 2024)
  • Work with students and staff groups across the University to identify priorities for support (May - Dec 2024)
  • Complete an action plan to develop staff and students’ digital capabilities, in line with the Digital Strategy, and University Strategy (Oct 2024 – Feb 2025)
    •  Consult with stakeholders to provide feedback on action plan before final submission to University boards (Dec 2024 - Feb 2025)

Project extension tasks (February 2025 - September 2025)

  • Consult with stakeholders to provide feedback on action plan, and review in order to submit to University committees (Feb - May 2025)
  • Work with a professional services directorate to pilot digital capabilities self-assessment tool/checklist (Summer 2025)
  • Offer staff and student digital capabilities workshops (Mar - Aug 2025)
