Develop the skills to provide best-evidence, outcomes-focused and client-informed treatment in children and young people's inpatient settings, with part-time team training that combines content and skills teaching with reflection on your practice.
Choose Inpatient CAMHS CYP Whole Team Training at the University of Reading
- Your training will be delivered within the Charlie Waller Institute. Established in 2008, the Institute offers award-winning training underpinned by psychological research.
- NHS partners send teams of up to 5 established staff in Inpatient unit roles or Alternative to Admission roles onto the CPD training to equip them with the necessary skills to fulfil their current role and provide treatment which is based on best evidence, outcomes-focused and client-informed practice.
- Employment is generally by the NHS for the duration of training, and ongoing after completion of the training. Sometimes units do send agency staff who work very regularly on their units to the training.
- You will develop your skills with a mixture of content and skills teaching, as well as undertaking reflections on your practice.
- We have delivered CPD training to more than 13 cohorts of trainees since 2015.
- You’ll be taught by experienced and enthusiastic practitioners.
- Applications are welcome from self-funding units.
