The programme comprises teaching and learning, which include taught days, self-directed study time, assessment and workplace-based learning (the 78 hours of learning in practice).
Details of our accreditation can be found at NMC accreditation. From January 2020, this programme is approved against the new NMC programme standards.
Nurses studying the programme can be assessed at either level 6 (undergraduate), leading to a Graduate Certificate, or level 7 (postgraduate), leading to a Postgraduate Certificate. Both programmes award 60 academic credits.
Applicants can choose between studying one day a week (Thursdays) on our May and September courses or on our intensive January weekend programme.

Study our intensive programme at weekends over six to ten months.

- Applications open: first full week in September (Monday)
- Applications close: last Friday in November
May courses
Study for one day a week (Thursdays) over six to ten months.
- Courses commence first full week in May.
- Applications open: second full week in January (Monday).
- Applications close: last Friday in March.
