Only 30 minutes from London
Your time studying in the UK wouldn't be complete without a visit to one of the world's most famous capital cities. Fortunately, Reading's close proximity and excellent transport links to London mean that getting there is both easy and simple.
Frequent, direct trains from Reading train station can get you into London Paddington in just half an hour. Major cities such as Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Bristol and Cardiff are also within reach by train.

Culture and faith
Religious facilities and spiritual care
The University of Reading is a welcoming community for people of all faiths and none. Our Chaplaincy Centre is a central point on campus, providing a good place to go for a quiet coffee and a listening ear.
The Centre offers a signposting service for all the different faiths, with information about places of worship both on campus and in Reading itself. Additionally, there is a Muslim Prayer Centre and Atheist/Humanist/Secularist, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim and Sikh student-run societies on campus.
Fraud awareness
Your tuition and accommodation fees should always be paid directly to the University of Reading, using one of the payment methods listed.
You should never provide your personal, University login or banking details to any company or individual that says it offers discounts or preferable exchange rates. The University is not responsible for any payments made using a method not supported by us, and you would still have to pay your fees in full if we did not receive payment from an unsupported payment method.
Please contact our International Student Advisory Team with any questions: int.adv@reading.ac.uk.
The University of Reading has a great reputation for their academic courses. The most enjoyable thing is that there are a lot of international students from all over the world, and you can learn about their culture – and they can learn about yours.
