University of Reading appearing in news media including TV and radio

AI in film: Dr Dominic Lees (FTT) writes for Sight and Sound magazine (in print) about the AI actress Tilly Norwood.  

Crumbs of history: Joe Doak (Henley Business School) spoke to BBC Radio Berkshire about the history of Huntley and Palmers biscuit company.

Health and wellbeing:

  • The Telegraph (republished by MSN) provided further quotes from Dr Simon Clarke (Biological Sciences) on a new flu variant. 

Food and farming:

  • ZME Science (republished by MSN) highlighted research into how bananas affect nutrient content in smoothies. 
  • Kiskegyed featured a study on the benefits of eating walnuts. 

Business and society:

  • Professor Yelena Kalyuzhnova and Professor Benjamin Laker (both Henley Business School) wrote for MITSloan Review about resilience in leadership roles. 

Heritage and culture:

  • Smithsonian Magazine and Inkl (republished an article from LiveScience) include quotes from Professor Hella Eckardt (Archaeology) on a Roman mosaic. 
  • AOL republished an article from The Independent on a study by Dr Rebecca Pitt (Archaeology) on health during Britain’s Roman occupation. 
  • Reading Today highlighted The Museum of English Rural Life in a list of the best things to do in Reading.
