University of Reading appearing in news media including TV and radio

 #UniForReading: our role as a civic university  

  • Local residents were invited to the University of Reading to attend a community forum and be given the chance to have any inquiries answered, Greatest Hits Radio reports. 

#PlanetPartners: working with global partners to protect the environment

  • Dr James O’Donoghue and Professor Mathew Owens (both Meteorology) are both quoted on the recent series of mega-eruptions in space for DNYUZ.
  • Local political candidates were featured on BBC Radio Berkshire, discussing the University of Reading’s work on climate science, mentioning the upcoming European Centre for Medium Range Weather Forecast, located at the University.
  • phys.org republishes an article from the University of Reading regarding the potential for open-cast mines to be converted into havens for wildlife. Professor Mark Tibbett (Sustainable Land Management), who authored the review, is quoted.
