Record global temperatures: Multiple Reading academics were featured across global news outlets discussing the fact that 2023 is now officially the warmest year on record and the future implications of this. Read our expert comment.

  • Professor Bill Collins (Meteorology) was quoted in The Telegraph, CNN and The Guardian (also in print). Republished by Yahoo! News, KTVZ, MSN, Advocate Channel, Citizen Digital and Stuff. 
  • Professor Hannah Cloke (Geography/Meteorology) is quoted in Future Net Zero and Energy Live News.
  • Professor Ed Hawkins (Meteorology) is featured in: Sky News, The Times (in print also), The Daily Mail, Yahoo!
