COVID-19: expert comment on the pandemic

  • Dr Simon Clarke (Biological Sciences) is quoted by The Washington Post, Mail Online, The Sun, Independent, US News and hundreds of other sites around the world on antibody tests and their popularity; by The Daily Mail, The Sun, Express and Star, Evening Standard, Yahoo News, AOL, Berkshire Live and 18 other regional sites on the UK’s third wave of Covid and the spread within schools; the Daily Mail about delays in vaccinating young people; the Telegraph, Mirror Online and Yahoo News about the delay in test results caused by people with colds getting Covid tests; the Daily Mail on why residents in care homes are still isolating; the Daily Mail (and in a Q&A in print) about an anti-viral pill that is said to halve the risk of Covid patients being admitted to the hospital; and Berkshire Live and other regional sites on how the UK is not over the worst of Covid.
  • Dr Jane Parker (Food) is quoted on the effects of Covid-induced parosmia by Head Topics. Dr Clarke was quoted by BBC Radio Scotland on the importance of getting vaccinated against Covid-19.
