About DTS

Digital Technology Services (DTS) provide IT services to our customers in the University which includes Staff and Students. Our vision is to deliver a modern seamless digital experience by reducing complexity through standardising, whilst supporting the key elements of the University around teaching and research.

We work closely with modern technology vendors to get the best value for our customers but also to harness innovative ways to deliver services. For example;

Our infrastructure is platform is Nutanix which gives hybrid cloud capability.

We use Rubrik for our data management

We were the first UK University to acquire Juniper Mist a cloud based WiFi6 network with built in BLE capability

We were the first UK University to deploy Microsoft Teams for telephony – incredibly timely at the beginning of the pandemic.

Our Microsoft partnership also sees us heavily invested in Surface devices as our standard offering but also Azure, Microsoft365 and Dynamics 365.

Benefits

Parking is available on site for a small fee per month which also covers you for our London Road campus (particularly useful for parking to visit Reading town centre at weekends!).
