Architecture
Join us at the University of Reading, and develop as an architect prepared for the challenges of twenty-first century architecture.
Continue your architectural studies with our new Master of Architecture (MArch) course: a postgraduate programme, and the second stage in becoming a qualified architect in the UK.
Our School of Architecture, a remodelled, historic building, opened to students in September 2016. Its teaching and learning facilities include dedicated studio space, available for your use seven days a week.
We are part of the renowned School of the Built Environment, which has strong industry links and is ranked 3rd in the UK for research impact in Architecture, Built Environment and Planning (Times Higher Education Institutions Ranked by Subject, 2014, based on its analysis of Research Excellence Framework 2014).
Study with us, and benefit from:
- our experienced team. The vast professional experience of our team — which includes architects, practitioners and design tutors — will enhance your studies, and provide you with valuable, real-world insights.
- an industry-relevant programme. We have worked closely with industry partners to develop a curriculum which is responsive to architecture’s ever-changing forms and expectations.
- specialist facilities. In addition to our studio space, we place strong emphasis on digital technologies — as such, you will have access to a purpose-built, 3D digital design environment.
We are liaising with both the Architects Registration Board (ARB) and the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) with regard to ARB prescription and RIBA validation respectively.
