World of Work: 2030 Conference

14 September 2017
09:00 - 16:30
Henley Business School, Whiteknight Campus

Let's get future-ready...together

The rise of digital is changing the world of work. How will business education support the future workplace to meet the needs of the employers? Change is coming faster than ever. Political transformations, demographic shifts and technological advancements are resulting in a redefinition of what work will be in the future. We ask what good recruitment looks like in 2030? How will great career development happen over the next decade? And when do we start planning? The aim of this conference was to exchange ideas and build a community of thinkers and creators to meet the challenges ahead.

Speaker highlights included:

The World is Changing and we Need to Change (or Forget it) - Perry Timms, Founder & Chief Energy Officer, People and Transformational HR Ltd
- Ade McCormack, Digital Strategist and author of Biz4.0

Staying Human - how people and organisations can get the best from each other in 2030 - Dr Cath Bishop, Olympic rower, Former Diplomat, and Leadership Speaker and Dr. Paul Brewerton, Joint Managing Director at the Strengths Partnership

Don't Fear the Robot Reaper - embrace our android friends, build resilience and conquer fears - Naeema Pasha, Director of Henley Careers and Business Psychologist

Scientific Engagement: how game technology and AI will humanise recruitment - Robert Newry, Managing Director at Arctic Shores
