The University Committee for Research & Innovation is pleased to offer the following prizes each year.
Research Output Prize for Early Career Researchers
This University prize recognises and celebrates excellent research work by early career researchers. One prize is awarded for each Research Theme and the announcement is made at the Research Excellence event each year.
Research Awards
The Research Awards celebrate the excellent research taking place across the University that addresses real-world problems and improves academic practice.
Building on the success of the Research Engagement and Impact Awards which began in 2017, the Awards encourage applications from all research themes and associated functions across the University. They include four categories: Public engagement with research, external collaboration and innovation, research impact, and interdisciplinary research.
Open Research Awards
The Open Research Awards were part of the Open Research Action Plan, and ran in 2020 and 2021. In 2023, Open Research was included as a category in the Research Awards.
