Creative Enterprise
In the fast-evolving creative industries, commercial and business skills are becoming increasingly valuable to ensure success. The MA Creative Enterprise is designed to further develop both your creative skills and business acumen to maximise your employability.
A truly multidisciplinary programme, the MA Creative Enterprise combines expertise from three of Reading’s schools: the Henley Business School, the School of Law, and the School of Arts & Communication Design.
Learn how business and management ties into creative industry sectors such as art, graphic design, film, theatre, TV and radio - just a few of the many career options that this master’s could lead into.
Build your skills as a practitioner, learn about the legal and financial aspects of the arts, and develop a critically informed knowledge of the creative sector. The MA Creative Enterprise will enable you to gain the skills and knowledge needed to progress in business as well as entrepreneurial careers within start-ups and creative firms.
You’ll specialise in one of two pathways:
- Art: map the contemporary art world exploring the production, dispersion and critical analysis of art and its institutions.
- Film: learn filmmaking skills, explore debates about style and meaning, and develop your understanding of industry trends and practices.
While you will choose to specialise in one of the above areas, you will also be working alongside those on other Creative Enterprise pathways, allowing you to build connections and enrich your understanding of other elements of the creative industries.
