Bio:
I have over 30 years' experience in English language teaching in Greece, Latvia, Portugal, China and Egypt. I also taught in a Japanese college formerly based in Reading, where I was initially a teacher. Here, I broadened my experience of academic management in the roles of head of department and dean of faculty. Before joining the University of Reading in 2008, I taught at the University of Nottingham campus in Ningbo, China (UNNC) for two and a half years. I am especially interested in cross-cultural issues in language learning and teaching, EAP writing and testing.
A few personal comments:
I enjoy outdoor activities as well as learning languages. I am currently learning Mandarin and my Greek is fairly fluent. I particularly enjoy writing in different scripts.
