External funding sources for Knowledge Exchange

Collaborative research projects reported in Higher Education - Business and Community Interaction (HE-BCI) may be funded by:

  • UKRI Councils (e.g. EPSRC, ESRC, BBSRC)

  • Innovate UK 

  • Government departments (e.g. Department for Health and Social Care)

  • Local authorities or NHS trusts

  • European Commission (e.g. Horizon Europe)

  • International public bodies (e.g. NIH, World Bank)

  • Charities and foundations (if contributing alongside public funding)
