In 2026, Reading hosted two major workshops for the IPCC in collaboration with the UK government and the Met Office. These events showcased our leadership in climate research and our commitment to collective action.

As part of the IPCC's seventh assessment cycle (AR7), the workshops brought together over 100 climate experts and policymakers. The aim was to enhance global understanding of the climate challenge and discuss effective responses to it.
