IPCC involvement

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) published its latest major report into the impacts of climate change on the planet in August 2021. As the United Nations body for assessing the science related to climate change, it provides policymakers with regular assessments, information on future risks, and options for mitigation and adaptation.

Six scientists from Reading's Department of Meteorology were lead authors in the first Working Group report – making Reading the most represented institution.
