Fees beyond the minimum registration period
If you have completed the minimum registration period for your doctoral research programme (as set out in the Code of Practice on Research Students), you will be required to pay one of the following fees:
- the appropriate full-time fee – if you are continuing to receive supervision and using University facilities on a full-time basis
- a Continuation Fee of £603 in 2022/23– if you are continuing to receive supervision but you are no longer using University facilities.
If you submit your thesis within three months of your minimum registration date, you will be refunded two thirds of your Continuation Fee for 2022/23. No refunds will be made for submissions after this date.
The University will have the discretion to decide the appropriate fee rate that will be applied after the minimum registration period has elapsed. This will be on the basis of information provided by the relevant academic School.
