Main Collaboration

PAW in Brazil

PAW collaborates with many researchers and research groups, but we have also have a formal collaboration agreement with urban ecologists working in the Geography department at UFR, the Rondonopolis Federal University, located in Mato Grosso, Brazil. We have key projects on domestic cat predation and urban macaws, and aim to build a long-term mutually beneficial arrangement.

Professor Fabio Angeoletto

Fabio Angeoletto holds a PhD in Ecology from the Autonomous University of Madrid. Currently he is a professor and researcher in the Master's Degree in Geography at UFMT, Rondonópolis campus. His research aims to understand how human factors influence the biodiversity of cities, and how urban ecology can be applied in planning, management and in the conservation of urban biodiversity.

Professor Jeater Santos

Bachelor's Degree in Geography by the State University of Maringá-PR-Brazil (1990), Master's and PhD in Physical Geography (1992 and 2002) by the University of São Paulo-SP-Brazil and Post-Doctorate in Remote Sensing /GIS by the Université Rennes2-Bretagne/France (2008). Presently, is Associate Professor at the Federal University of Rondonópolis-Mato Grosso/Brazil and Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Geography. Develops research in the areas of Spatial Analysis with support in Geoprocessing/GIS and Digital Cartography applied to Representation of Structure and Function of Landscapes and Analysis of Socioenvironmental Impacts as a result of its transformation by the economic exploitation of its natural resources.
