We offer a range of courses that enable you to pursue your interests within the food sector, whether you are keen to study it from a technological, nutritional or business angle.

Our degrees are accredited by the Institute for Food Science and Technology (IFST), the professional body for food scientists and technologists in the UK. Our programmes in nutrition, nutrition and food science, and nutrition with food consumer sciences are also accredited by the Association for Nutrition (AfN).

Our undergraduate courses are structured into themes which enable you to follow different paths towards a future career. These themes are covered in all of our degree programmes, although some courses will be weighted more towards a particular theme or themes.

Foundation degrees

These four-year programmes include a foundation year that leads directly into the three-year course. They provide an excellent route to a degree in food science if you do not have the typical entry requirements.
