Your application and portfolio

In addition to your application, you will be invited to an interview to present a portfolio showing evidence of your creative ability and understanding.

Your future career

96% of leavers from the School of the Built Environment are in work and/or further study 15 months after the end of their course. (Source: Graduate Outcomes Survey 2017/18; First Degree responders from the School of the Built Environment) 

Our graduates are well-placed to further their training as an architect or move into other careers within design and construction such as urban design, graphic design, project management and planning.

Scholarships and fees

Students enrolling on to our BSc Architecture course in 2021 or 2022 have the opportunity to secure a scholarship worth £1,000 for each of the three years of their course. (Subject to conditions for 2021 entry) (Subject to conditions for 2022 entry).

There are some additional costs for equipment, materials and learning resources. In the past, we have run optional field trips to ethically accessible cities such as Copenhagen, Antwerp and Nantes.

Architecture taster days

Interested in studying a degree in architecture? Why not apply for one of our taster days, and experience architecture workshops and lectures, take a tour of our facilities, and learn more about student life.
