Areas of interest

Prediction: How language users anticipate upcoming textual information and integrate it with their mental models, with a particular focus on nominal prediction and expectations around event structure.

Event representation: How verbs and their arguments contribute to the mental representation of events among language users, and how different grammatical structures, such as negation or plurality, influence the processing of and access to these representations in memory.

Fictional representation: How do people categorises entities into real-world or fictional buckets, how do their beliefs influence their online processing of text and real-time interpersonal interactions. Moreover, how can this be modelled semantically.
