Contract Research

Contract research is a mechanism to enable external organisations to access the expertise of academics by commissioning the University to undertake the research on its behalf for a fee.

Before committing to a contract research project, a number of considerations need to be made such as confidentiality, management of intellectual property (foreground and background) and project scope, deliverables, timescales and fee. A research contract will need to be put in place.
