Reading Excellence Scholarship
We offer a number of scholarships worth £5,000 for students starting an International Foundation Programme (IFP) or International Foundation Year (IFY) in 2026/27.
If you hold an offer for an IFP or IFY, you may be eligible to apply for this scholarship.

- Round one: 19 May 2026 (for September 2026 entry)
- Round two: 14 July 2026 (for September 2026 entry)
- Round three: 16 November (for January 2027 entry)

Key information
- To apply for funding, you must have received an offer to join an IFP or IFY course in the academic year 2026/27.
- The scholarship application form will be made available to eligible students via the Me@Reading applicant portal. You will be able to access it until the closing date.
- The scholarship will take the form of a tuition fee reduction of £5,000 for the IFP/IFY year of study.
- The University must classify you as an international student for fee purposes.
- Scholarships are awarded primarily based on previous academic accomplishment.
