The diverse nature of GIIDAE's programmes reflects our international expertise, and our interactive approach to learning gives you a coherent understanding of theory, practice and current debates in international development, agriculture and economics. This is reflected by our reputation for International Development studies, as well as in the 2021 QS World University Rankings, where the School of Agriculture, Policy and Development are ranked 12th in the world for teaching and research in agriculture and forestry.

Our programme areas
We offer six International Development programmes, covering a diverse range of topics that include applied development, agriculture, climate change, communication, environmental change and food security.
Agri-Food Economics and Marketing
Our Agri-Food Economics and Marketing programmes span agricultural economics, development finance, consumer behaviour and food economics and marketing.
There are two agriculture options for postgraduate study. We have a master's by research that covers agriculture, ecology and the environment, and an online postgraduate certificate in animal science.
