Areas of interest

Christopher Burke's principal area of research is German typography of the early twentieth century. In particular he has written about two major figures of this period: Paul Renner and Jan Tschichold. Christopher brings his own experience as a typeface designer to bear on examining the work of such designers.

Research projects

Christopher is currently researching the adaptation of Isotype to a British context.
