SCFP is located across five buildings at the University, in order to maintain security for staff, students and of the material contained within, access to these facilities is restricted.  The information provided below is designed to assist you in obtaining appropriate access to the areas where you will be visiting/working.

Standard opening hours for the School are Monday to Friday 08:00 - 18:00 and this is the default level granted. If you require "out of hours" access (evenings/weekends) please see below.

In order to maintain security within the building, there are a few basic instructions that will help us all:

  • Ensure you have your Campus Card with you at all times - this will allow you to move around easily and also act as identification if required.
  • Do not allow people to tailgate through doors behind you  - if you do not know the person following you then do not be afraid to ask them to swipe through the door - this is especially important out of normal working hours.
  • Do not take offence if you are challenged to swipe through a door or present your Campus Card.
  • If you have any security concerns, contact security immediately  on 0118 378 6300.
