How to apply

Our standard International Foundation Programme (IFP) has entry points in September and January.

Blogging

Our full-time extended International Foundation and Language Programme (IFLP) has entry points in July and September.

On the July IFLP, you will complete eight weeks of English language training and then join the International Foundation Programme (IFP) in September.

On the September IFLP, you will complete 11 weeks of English language training and then join the International Foundation Programme (IFP) in January.

Applications may be made through UCAS, or directly to the International Foundation Programme at the University of Reading. You should only apply through one route.

Applying directly

Candidates for the IFP can apply through our online application service. The online service allows you to complete your application form and attach electronic copies of your academic transcripts, English language certificates and other supporting documents. Applying through UCAS

If you apply through UCAS you must follow the UCAS procedures and use the following UCAS course codes for the University of Reading:

January start - Q3N1

July start (IFLP) - NQ13

September start - N1Q3

September start (IFLP) - NQ14

Visas

You may need to apply for a visa before you come to study at Reading. For more information on visas please visit the government webpages (https://www.gov.uk/tier-4-general-visa/overview). You are strongly advised to apply for your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) and apply for your visa in good time. You can apply for a visa up to 3 months in advance of your intended date of travel to the UK.
