Undergraduate courses

A degree in geography opens the door to a large number of careers. Learn from internationally recognised academics on our Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) accredited degree programmes.

Field classes

Field classes are a critical part of your training, enabling you to develop skills in field techniques, observation skills, data analysis and presentation, and teamwork.

You will take part in a range of experiences, from GIS mapping on the University campus to exploring settings in the UK and abroad.

Global Sustainability Leaders Scholarship

Our Global Sustainability Leaders Scholarship is an undergraduate scholarship scheme focused on creating a community of global sustainability leaders of the future.

Up to 400 scholarships are offered per year to high-achieving students from any subject. Scholars receive £6,000 per academic year, subject to terms and conditions, for maintenance and living costs.

Scholars can also access additional opportunities to:

  • develop knowledge and leadership skills that are relevant to addressing climate and nature issues
  • engage in cross-disciplinary learning and activities
  • become part of a growing community of global sustainability leaders of the future.
