Service level specification
i. Finance will undertake, on behalf of the University, management of all tax matters, including VAT;
ii. Finance will arrange for the appointment, as required, of professional tax advisers for both direct and indirect taxes to the University on both a retainer and project basis.
iii. Finance will provide a tax advisory service to Schools and Directorates;
iv. Finance will provide all necessary liaison and negotiation with the Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC);
v. Finance will undertake an annual review of benefits in kind received by members of the University and make the necessary returns to HMRC.
vi. Finance will undertake the necessary analysis required for corporation tax returns for the University and its UK subsidiary company's.
