When you accepted your offer of accommodation, you paid a £250 security deposit. Once you have moved out completely and returned your keys, we need to return this sum, less any deductions for charges such as damage, cleaning or rent arrears. If you had to leave your accommodation in a rush and are not returning to Reading, again, we will take this into account when assessing cleaning.
To enable us to return your deposit, we need you to submit your bank details, through one of the following methods:
- Fill in the online form on the Applicant Portal. Select ‘Actions’, then ‘Accommodation’, then ‘Finance’ and the Refund button will allow you to submit your details.
- For a Canadian, US or Australian account please complete this form and return it to email@example.com. Please note there will be a charge for international bank transfers.
The bank details you provide must be open at the time your deposit is due to be returned to you, this usually takes 28 days from the end date of your accommodation contract. Due to Covid-19 there is likely to be delays with your deposit return, especially if you need to empty your room of belongings and/or return your keys.
