Background

I am a Development Economist, and have always wanted to be one since I was 17 when my teacher introduced me to the topic.

I love conducting fieldwork, which usually involves talking to people from different walks of life. I find that these experiences allow me to better shape my quantitative analyses.

Before joining the University of Reading, I was an Economist at Development Pathways, an international development consultancy that focuses on social protection, and a researcher at the Refugee Studies Centre, University of Oxford, where I worked with colleagues to understand the economic lives of refugees in Kenya, Uganda, and Ethiopia.

Academic qualifications

PhD in Economics, University of Birmingham

MSc in Economic Development and Policy Analysis, University of Nottingham

Bachelor of Business Administration (International Business & Global Management), University of Hong Kong
