There are several ways you can change document view.

View > Dark Mode will allow you to view the document in a dark background with light colour text

Design > Page Colour and you can change the page's background colour

Edit > Preferences > Accessibility > Document Colours Options.
If you select "Replace Document Colors" it will allow you to select Page Background colour.
