Introduction to User Surveys

Research into current practice at the University of Reading indicates that user surveys are widely used by learning support and student welfare support services to find out what users think about the facilities and services they offer. A variety of mechanisms are used, including:

  • web-based surveys
  • surveys circulated by email
  • paper surveys
  • focus groups

The results of surveys are analysed and appropriate actions are taken.
