Dr Carmen Lam had been working as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science,

The University of Hong Kong. She was also the Deputy Teaching Assistant Coordinator, teaching TAs how to teach. She was awarded a Professional Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education by the university.
Before this, Dr Carmen Lam worked as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science, Hong Kong Baptist University. She was recognized by the university with the Faculty Performance Award in teaching and a number of Best Teaching Awards.
