The second day of the Centenary Community Festival kicks off with the return of Reading Students' Union's historic RAG Parade.

For over 50 years, the RAG parade was the highlight of the Raising and Giving (RAG) calendar, bringing students and the community together to raise money for countless charities. You can expect a burst of colour, creativity, music and energy as our students take to the streets, reviving the magic of a cherished tradition.

The Parade

Starting at 12:00 outside Broad Street Mall, the Parade will move down Broad Street, across Market Place and into Forbury Gardens. Join us along the route to watch this exciting spectacle. There might even be an opportunity to join the Parade itself!

Forbury Gardens celebrations

In Forbury Gardens, the celebrations continue with an afternoon of live entertainment, interactive stalls and delicious food. We have invited incredible local talent to perform at the Festival across three live stages, featuring vibrant music, dance and spoken word.

Sanctuary Fair

We are proud to be partnering with Reading City of Sanctuary to host a Sanctuary Fair. Come and discover the local community groups and charities who are helping to make Reading a safe and welcoming space for everyone. Take part in their interactive activities and find out more about the incredible work they do to support local people.
