Cycling

Planning to cycle to the Community Festival? We’ve got you covered!

Enjoy a free bike service by Dr Bike at this year’s Community Festival – all bikes welcome. Bring yours along for a quick tune-up and get ready to ride smoothly all summer long.

Bike racks are available at Palmer Quad. Please remember to lock your bike securely.

No bike? No problem! On the day, you will be able to borrow a bike from Reading Bike Hub at 16 King Street, RG1 2HE. This will be free of charge on the day of Community Festival. You can cycle to the festival and return the bike later the same day.

Travelling by car

We recommend you use the Shinfield Road entrance to the University and follow event signs to Car Park 1a. Please note that parking for this event is free of charge and no ticketing will be in operation. Parking will be on a first come first served basis.

Blue badge parking is located in all of our car parks, and there is a dedicated blue badge parking area outside the JJ Thompson Building. This is marked on our festival map.

Once parked, please follow signage or speak to one of our student ambassadors to seek your first activity.
