What is Student Circus?
Student Circus is a leading job readiness platform that the university has invested in for all our students. The platform is largely aimed at international students but accessible by all University of Reading students and alumni.
What are the different tools Student Circus offers?
- Jobs board – A key feature of the platform, here you can find hundreds of job opportunities. Crucially for international students this includes easily searchable jobs at companies that have a Skilled Worker visa sponsorship license for the UK and would therefore consider sponsoring a Skilled Worker visa. The jobs platform also includes internships and graduate roles in over 30 other countries globally.
- Country guides – for over 40 countries with information on securing jobs specific to that country. This includes adapting your CV, networking, searching for jobs. Useful for international students returning home or planning to move to a third country and also for home students interested in working internationally.
- Immigration guides- a complete guide and breakdown of visas and the legal requirements that accompany being on a visa in the UK. This details each type of visa you could be on and common questions you may have. Use this in addition to the support you can access from our International Student Advisory Team.
- Webinars and events – regular events and webinars advertised and held through student circus, including guest appearances and advice to help you succeed in your career and university life.
